Roxicodone:

Roxicodone – Important Information

  • If you have taken too much Roxicodone, call 911 or get emergency help. If you take Roxicodone for the first time, if your dose changes, or if it is taken in excess (overdose), you may experience severe breathing problems or even death. Speak to your healthcare provider regarding naloxone. This medicine is used for emergency treatment of opioid overdoses.
  • Roxicodone can cause severe drowsiness and breathing problems. It may also lead to a coma or death if taken with alcohol, or other central nervous depressants, such as benzodiazepines.
  • Do not give Roxicodone to anyone else. It could cause them to die. It is illegal to sell or give away Roxicodone.
  • Store Roxicodone in a secure location, away from children’s reach and sight, as well as in a place that is not accessible to others. This includes visitors.

You have the following conditions:

  • Other lung problems, such as severe asthma or difficulty breathing.
  • A bowel obstruction or narrowing of your stomach or intestines.
  • Allergy to oxycodone

Tell your healthcare provider before taking Roxicodone if you:

  • head injury, seizures
  • Problems Urinating
  • Alcoholism, drug abuse, opioid overdose, or mental disorders.
  • Liver, kidney, and thyroid problems
  • Pancreas and gallbladder issues

Inform your doctor if you:

  • Pregnant or planning to get pregnant. If you use Roxicodone for a long time during pregnancy, your baby may experience withdrawal symptoms that can be dangerous if not treated.
  • Breastfeeding. Roxicodone can pass into breast milk and harm your child.
  • Living in a home with small children or someone who has used street drugs or prescription medications
  • Taking prescription or over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements. Roxicodone can have serious side effects, which could even lead to death.

Take Roxicodone as directed by your doctor.

  • Do not change your dose. Follow the instructions of your healthcare provider. Use the lowest possible dose for the shortest amount of time.
  • Do not exceed the prescribed dosage. Take only the prescribed dose. Take your following amount as usual if you miss a dosage.
  • Call your doctor if you do not feel better after taking the prescribed dose.
  • Do not stop taking Roxicodone if you take it regularly without consulting your healthcare provider.

When taking Roxicodone, do not:

  • Do not drive or operate heavy equipment until you understand how Roxicodone will affect you. Roxicodone may make you dizzy or sleepy.
  • Use prescription or over-the-counter medicines that contain alcohol. You may overdose or die if you use alcohol-containing products while taking Roxicodone.

Roxicodone may cause the following side effects:

  • Constipation, nausea, sleepiness, vomiting, tiredness, headache, dizziness, and abdominal pain. Call your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms, especially severe ones.
